Saudi Arabia’s stock market made significant gains on Monday as the Tadawul All Share Index rose by 323.28 points, or 3.43%, closing at 9,761.78. This surge reflects a positive turn in investor sentiment, with trading volume surpassing 342 million shares and a total value of approximately SR5.18 billion ($1.38 billion). Notably, 259 companies saw their shares advance while only eight experienced declines.
The Nomu parallel market also showed a positive trend, gaining 0.8% to end at 21,211.72, while the MSCI Tadawul 30 Index increased by 3.39% to reach 1,324.38. Among the top performers, Flynas led the market with a 10% increase, closing at SR40.04. Saudi Fisheries and Red Sea International followed closely, each advancing by 9.98%.
In contrast, Saudi Tadawul Group Holding’s shares fell by 1.87% to SR104.70, coinciding with the company’s report of a 34.6% decrease in net profit for the first nine months of 2026. This decline was attributed primarily to reduced revenue from capital markets and post-trade services, though growth in data and technology services offered some support.
Additional developments include Umm Al Qura for Development and Construction, known as Masar, selling a plot in Makkah for SR139 million. This transaction is expected to bolster liquidity and support ongoing projects, with Masar’s shares rising by 5.06% to SR15.15.
Electrical Industries Co. approved a significant SR150 million project to establish the country’s first factory for manufacturing components for power transformers, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030. Meanwhile, Asas Makeen Real Estate Development and Investment signed an agreement for a residential project in Riyadh, with Makeen’s shares increasing by 3.28%.
In the education sector, Al-Mohafaza Co. for Education recommended distributing SR4.8 million in cash dividends, pending general assembly approval. This proposed distribution reflects a commitment to shareholder returns as the company looks to finalize details for the payment.
