These incidents have been labeled as acts of aggression by the ministers, who have reaffirmed the nation’s right to defend its sovereignty, citizens, and residents. The Cabinet also expressed its rejection of Houthi assaults on commercial vessels and the disruption of international maritime navigation in the Red Sea.
The attacks reportedly resulted in injuries to over 70 individuals, including women and children, across several Saudi cities. In response, authorities have been tasked with ensuring that those injured receive the highest level of medical care available. The Cabinet’s meeting, chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Jeddah, also covered various regional issues and diplomatic efforts.
Among the topics discussed were the developments in the Palestinian territories and the broader Arab initiatives aimed at curbing Israeli actions in Jerusalem and halting settlement expansion. These discussions highlight the ongoing regional tensions and the efforts by Arab nations to address them through diplomatic channels.
In addition to addressing regional security concerns, the Cabinet welcomed a new agreement between the Saudi and German foreign ministries. This deal establishes a strategic dialogue intended to bolster consultation and coordination between the two countries, reflecting a mutual interest in strengthening bilateral relations.
The meeting also included a briefing from Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on his recent engagements with leaders from Egypt, Greece, and Oman, indicating Saudi Arabia’s active role in fostering diplomatic ties and regional cooperation.
