In a series of diplomatic engagements, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman recently conducted phone discussions with the leaders of Bahrain and Syria. The primary focus of these conversations revolved around regional developments and security concerns, reflecting the ongoing efforts to enhance cooperation and stability in the Middle East.

During his discussion with King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain, both leaders took the opportunity to review the current situation in the region. In a separate call with Syrian President Ahmad Al-Sharaa, the dialogue centered on recent security challenges. President Al-Sharaa used the opportunity to explicitly condemn the reported actions of Iran-affiliated militias in Iraq, which allegedly attempted to target Saudi petroleum facilities. He reaffirmed Syria’s unwavering support for Saudi Arabia’s security and sovereignty, highlighting a shared interest in countering threats to regional stability.

The discussions reflect a concerted effort by Saudi Arabia to engage with neighboring countries on issues critical to regional peace and security.
