Saudi Arabia and Pakistan have signed a mutual defence agreement, marking a major step in their long-standing security partnership. The pact underscores a shared commitment to regional stability and joint deterrence against any external aggression.
According to the agreement, an attack on either country will be regarded as an attack on both, formalising their security cooperation. The deal builds on the “historic partnership” between the two nations and their shared strategic interests.
During a meeting in Riyadh, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif discussed strengthening the strategic partnership across multiple sectors. They also exchanged views on regional and international developments, emphasising joint efforts to promote peace and stability.
